Full Version: PM'ing links?
randomgoat
It is well established that Ryu and Ty do not want users uploading things and posting the links on the forums, but what about uploading material and PMing the link to users who specifically request the material? I could see this going either way so I would like to get a definite answer on the matter.

Example: User A says he has something and wants to post a link. He is told not to and given the explanation. User B wants what A has and asks A to upload the material and PM him the link. A does so.

Is that a violation of the policy against user uploaded material?

Personally, I prefer it not to be done, but I don't mind it as long as the user who wants the information is well aware that we are not responsible for any damages that could occur to their software/hardware.

Edit: Also one thing I'd like to note though is that the Members should only PM others links if they ask them to and not to do it just to do it.

I'm with Ryu on this. I'd prefer it not be done, but I don't mind as long as the user who wants the information is well aware that we are not responsible for any damages.

I'm also along with Ryu in the thought that members should only PM others links if they ask them to.

Also, I'm against anyone PMing links to other forums or advertising products. If you are PMing links, they should be your own and not our uploaded material. Also, if you are PMing a link to an episode or something I think it would be nice of you to wait for a user to have at least fifteen posts before PMing them your episodes.
