I have decided I am going to build a website to feature this forum, but am not sure what the Domain Name should be. I have checked with some of the hosting company's and suggested the name www.generationz.com. Unfortunately that name was taken; however they sent in these suggestions:

www.generationzsite.com
www.thegenerationz.com

I like TheGenerationZ suggestion, but I'm bringing this to everyone's attention because I'm up for different name suggestions for the Website. (The forum will remain at the GenerationZ.IPBFree host.)

A few rules I have when picking a Domain are:

∙ I do not want the words Power Rangers in the site name.
∙ Preferably a name that isn't very popular.
∙ A name that isn't more then 15 letters long.
∙ Something that can easily be remembered.

Although I'm not adding a suggestion to the topic, I am throwing my support behind TheGenerationZ.com.

It's simple, effective, relates back to the forum, and just sounds plain cool.

I was looking for more available domains and I happened to notice that there are more out there we can use.

I however, would still love to have a .com name.

The .co.uk is for the United Kindom and since we're a Power Ranger's board from America I think it would serve us better to go with a .com name. Same goes for the .tk name too.

You can try genz.com or genzen.com, .net could also be another option.

That's cool you are building a new website. Some possible prefixes of the word generation could be: a, this, our, best, thebest, my, awesome.
I also like the idea of it ending in .com.

Since this topic was bumped, I guess I should update everyone on where we are with the Website.

Currently I have Tyrailius looking into seeing how much one will cost us, and Jessica is helping him out with which hosting company would be better. So I just wanted everyone to know, even though we're moving slow at the moment with the Website itself, that we're still working on it!

TheGenerationZ.com sounds good to me. Of course, that could be partially because it's just arbitrarily adding "the" to the beginning, which is something I tend to do with my own name ("The Dave").

Also, out of curiosity, are you coding this site, or using something like Dreamweaver? I've built several sites in the past, so if you need any assistance, I'd be glad to help out. I should point out that my knowledge stops at HTML. If you're looking for Java or PHP, I'm out.

I think its fantastic that you guys are getting a domain, it will be nice to see and might make getting to the site easier for new member because it wont have as long of a name. I like the sound of thegenerationz.com i cant wait to see you guys get the new site up. Do you guys think you will have it done by this year?
