I've been watching a lot of my old WWF, and some WWE pay-per-view DVDs that I have lying around the house. So I thought about this. What are you top ten favorite pay-per-views from the WWF/WWE?

10. Survivor Series 1997
The Montreal Screwjob! It ranks number ten in my countdown for the fact that I wasn't a big fan of the card. But the ending match was just great. Shawn Michaels, and Bret Hart had one of the greatest feuds in the history of the WWF. As well as some of the greatest matches (look at this one, and the Wrestlemania 12 match). Even though I will never be a big fan of how the ending went down. That match truly stole the show that night.

09. Fully Loaded 2000
It had a pretty solid card for it's time in my mind. But overall the show just couldn't fully deliver as best as it could. The matches had a lot of potential. I just saw more in them that could of happened that didn't. Still a great show with some great matches at it's time. The main event was pretty damn epic.

08. Wrestlemania III
In my personal opinion a more overrated Wrestlemania than anything. Hogan and Andre had a great main event. Alice Cooper on the show wasn't a bad thing what so ever. Roddy Piper had a pretty good match too. After watching it again not that long ago. I feel it had more hype than anything. Nothing against the show or anything. It was still a pretty good Wrestlemania. I've just seen better.

07. Summerslam 2002
Shawn Michaels made his in ring return to face Triple H. The Rock faced the new comer Brock Lesnar. The card was solid just like Fully Loaded. Just some of the matches didn't deliver. HBK/HHH was probably the best match of the night. Around this time the product began to drop anyways. At the time though I was glad to see Lesnar get a push to the top that early in his career.

06. One Night Stand 2005
When WWE decided to actually made this PPV. I had some doubts. But oddly enough I was impressed. Very impressed actually. Minus a couple moments or two. It felt like the real thing. It was the very last thing from the original ECW. When they brought it back in 2006. It just wasn't the same. So kudos to Vinnie Mac, and the WWE for this one. Good card. Great "Oh My God" moments. Should of just been a one time only pay-per-view in my mind though.

5. Wrestlemania XX
Where it all begins again. Just like One Night Stand overall a good show minus one or two moments. While I may not be the biggest Cena fan. He pulled off a great match with Big Show, and deserved the championship. Undertakers dead man gimmick was awesome. Guerrero vs Angle was great. As well as the triple threat main event. Chris Benoit truly deserved the title. Plus, seeing Rock & Sock Connection back was just cool as hell.

4. Summerslam 2000
One of the best Summerslams in my mind. The TLC match just stole the show. In my mind there really wasn't a boring part through out the entire pay-per-view. I wasn't to happy with some of the finishes. But hell you can't always get what you want. Undertaker and Kane was an entertaining fight. Sucks it couldn't of went on longer. Blackman vs Shane O Mac was great too. The Rock retained his WWF Championship. I was ecstatic when it first happened.

3. Survivor Series 2001
The death of the Invasion storyline. The best place to end it was at the Survivor Series. For awhile I thought the Alliance crew had it. Kurt Angle turning on the Alliance, and going back to the WWF was awesome. I liked the whole WWF vs ECW/WCW deal. But it was getting a little stale, and needed to end. The "interpromotial" matches were pretty damn good.

2. Survivor Series 2003
2003 in my mind wasn't the best year for their PPVs. But this was one was just mind blowing. Kane "killing" The Undertaker to repackage him as the dead man was cool. I always liked Goldberg so I enjoy his match against Triple H. Shane O Mac and Kane had a good ambulance match. Good way to kill that feud. The team matches were great. Team Bischoff vs Team Austin was the best team match of the nigh in my opinion.

Drum roll please. Last but not least. The one you all have been waiting for...

1. Wrestlemania 2000
Another one of those pay-per-views that wasn't bad what so ever. Another one of those shows that some of the finishes could of been better. It still deserves the number one slot. The main reason for that is that main event. A McMahon in every corner was a great match. The triangle ladder match was amazing. The Dudleys, The Hardys, and E&C always entertained me in those matches. Plus WM2000 was a kickass N64 game too.
Bucky Mayhem
Well, this was hard. Like super-hard. Mainly because it's been awhile since I've watched a string of PPV's. Anyhow, I've gone through my collection of VHS' and DVD's, and did my best to remember them, so here goes nothing. Now, I only did five, to start things off. I'll definitely come back and post five more at a later date, but for now, I'm sure you'd like an explanation with my choices, so much to my displeasure, five. Anyhow, enough babbling! biggrin.gif

5. Summerslam (1991) - What can I say? Apparently, my Uncle Tim taped this, and I wound up getting a duplicate he made a few years ago, and it's all so incredibly badass, it just about makes me weep tears of pure gold. For one, the Intercontinental title match between Bret Hart and Mr. Perfect is probably one of the single best I've ever seen. Curt Hennig was an awesome superstar and easily bret Hart's equal when it came to the technical half of their repertoires. It's one of those matches that you're going to remember for a long time. Other than that one match though, I'll say the Legion of Doom taking on The Nasty Boys was awesome (LOD happens to be one of my all time favourite teams), and Hulk Hogan and The Ultimate frickin' Warrior taking on Slaughter and his boys in a handicap match. Sure, Warrior was a complete ass and deserved getting fired, if what's been said is true but nonetheless, it was a great match and a guy being a jerk shouldn't change that fact. Also, Mustafa. That's one letter away from "Mustafar" and that makes me giggle like a moron.

4. Invasion (2001) - No, there weren't a lot of truly amazing matches on the card, nor was the Pay Per View super awesome or anything, but the few good matches (by my opinion, there were three; not including that bra and panties match) were enough for me to put this one-hit wonder to make it onto my list. For one, Edge and Christian's match with Lance Storm and Mike Awesome. Edge taking a kick, nearly getting Awesome Bombed, only for Christian, of all people, to spear Awesome, giving E&C the win? It's matches like that that make me sad that the WWE's tag division has taken such a blow. Just a lot of fun, and what a tag team match should be like. Also, RVD and Jeff Hardy, in a hardcore match. Need I say more? Both of them are no strangers to hardcore experiences and it was exciting, from start to finish. The inaugural brawl was also pretty sweet, too. Sure, WWF lost, but damn. Team Heyman/McMahon (or whatever you want to call them) had Stone Cold, and I like Stone Cold. Not as much as 'Taker, but Stone Cold. Friends with one of the McMahons. That's enough for me.

3. Wrestlemania 2000 (XVI) - The triangle ladder match? A hardcore battle royal? A McMahon in every corner? This 'Mania is one of my favourites for a reason. For one, each and every match was at least incredibly amusing and most of them were lessons in what made the WWF completely awesome, and win. The triangle ladder match, in particular. That really ushered in a new era of entertainment, as far as special matches go. Then, the sheer amount of pulse pounding matches (two falls triple threat match, anyone? Yeah, I think so) was amazing. Even if the triangle match kind of stole the show, in that department. But seriously, it was the fatal four way that made the PPV. For once, the bad guy won. You had to love it, if you're as much of a Triple H fan as I am. Then, the Wrestlemania ending on The Rock obtaining revenge, eventually taking Stephanie out? It was a turning point in the Attitude era, if you ask me. I've said it before, I'll say it again. It was awesome of Stephanie to take those bumps, considering she's maybe half the size of The Rock. It shows just how dedicated the McMahon family is, to entertain the fans, and I have to tip my hat to them. Just a sexy, sexy Wrestlemania.

2. Armageddon (1999) - A very solid card, considering the Pay Per View we're talking about, here. Starting off with an eight team battle royal, and not letting up until - ironically - the WWF championship match almost three hours later. Steve Blackman pwning Kurt Angle's booty with those epic nunchucks of his was funny, just because Angle was such a wank, back then. Quite honestly, the only match on the entire card that sucked, was Big Show versus The Big Bossman. Seriously? A three minute WWF championship match? Wow, Show. Wow. Anyways, cage matches, Miss Kitty's breasts and the shockingly exciting Jericho/Chyna match (and Miss Kitty in those sheer pants of hers . . . mmmm) all made up for it, though. Then, the emergence of heel Stephanie after Vince got his ass handed to him after nearly a half an hour topped this show off, making it one of the best, in recent memory and a Pay Per View I very happily own on VHS. Just watched it today, actually, so it's really fresh in the mind. The amount of mind-numbing violence was just crazy, and almost every match had an intense amount of good old fashioned wrestling, and that's always a recipe for success, in my books. Heck, like it matters. BOOBIES!!!!!! emo-woot.gif

Oh, Lawler was also on fire, in the commentating section.

"An author talking about his own book? That's almost as bad as a mother talking about her own children. No one wants to hear that!"

Brought tears to my eyes, it was so funny, proving why the Lawler/Ross team is the absolute best in the companies history.

1. Wrestlemania 13 (1997) - Every match was incredible. We saw the single greatest Deadman outing in 'Mania history with Undertaker beating Sycho Sid for the WWF championship after one of the most well executed tombstones, ever. We saw Rocky Maivia. Maivia, I say! Anyways, that was another one of those awesome Intercontinental title matches that won't be forgotten (at least by me), anytime soon. Then, Bret Hart in his last good storyline. The match was crazy good and the fact that Hart turned heel immediately after, to have himself get suplexed by Shamrock and wimp out on him? Really set up his fall, in the company, if you ask me. Story-wise, anyways. Then, Hunter Hearst Helmsley and Goldust, one of my favourite matches of the evening. Mainly because I loved HHH in his "Greenwich Snob" gimmick (bring it back, already!), and seeing Chyna when she looked like a man always makes me giggle like a doofus. Just a fun match to watch, and see how Hunter got his big start in the WWF, again (I'm still annoyed how McMahon treated the "MSG incident". So, he broke character to say goodbye to his friends. Big friggin' deal, you jerk). Also Chyna. She was manly. laugh.gif I honestly can't think of a match I disliked, and it remains, to this day, to be my favourite for so many reasons. You should all check it out.

Heck, check them all out. Each and every one is great in their own right.
