I don't want it to seem like there are a load of rules for this section, and there aren’t! I also feel it’s important that no one feels limited in what they write, but I do feel it is highly important to set some clear guidelines for this section. I want to see the Fan Fiction forum do well, as I’m sure any member who has ever put together a story does, but for that to happen members should be clear on what is expected of their postings. Don’t worry about getting caught up on most of these, as they are really more like guidelines than hard laws.

The Rules

- The rules of the forum are still in effect here. Unless it is otherwise stated below, full enforcement of the rules will be observed

- Plagarism will not be tolerated. Do not think that you will get away with claiming another author's work as your own. The topic will be deleted and you will be reprimanded.

- All stories, fan-fiction or not, should be placed in the "Fan Fiction" section.

- All topics regarding discussion, outlines, planning stories, and anything else related to writing should be posted in the "Writer's Block" sub-forum. All nominations and elections for Story of the Year will be held here.

- If you post in the "Fan Fiction" forum, the topic must contain the prologue or first chapter of your story. Anything else should be placed in the "Writer's Block" sub-forum.

- You may only have one topic per story in the Fan Fiction section (No extra topics for prologues or epiloges). These topics will be merged.

- Double posting is allowed in this forum, but only on the grounds that you are updating your story. Double posting in any other situation is against the rules of Generation Z and will not be tolerated.

- Mature and explicit content is not encouraged by the staff of Generation Z. If the content of your fiction exceeds what would be applicable to a 'T' rating it must be clearly marked. There are a lot of underage users here, so keep that in mind.

- A writer is responsible for the editing of his own works. Unless I (or any of the staff) are really bored, we aren't going to go through and fix your grammar or punctuation. That said, if you need help editing your story, please see the "Beta Reader" topic in the Writer's Block.

- Constructive reviews and criticism are highly appreciated by all writers. Feedback is often what gives a writer incentive to keep on writing, and there isn’t much of a better feeling than getting your first positive review.

- Flames, spam, and other useless posts will be removed. No writer wants you to use their topic as a dumping ground for your spam, and they especially don’t want to hear your useless flames, so please refrain from making these posts.

- Have fun reading and writing these excellent stories!

I’m going to lock this topic, but if anyone has anything further they would like to see added please feel free to PM me. It’s entirely likely that I’ve forgotten some stuff, so feel free to let me know if you think of anything that should be added. Feedback is very important, but I don’t want anyone starting an argument about this – these rules have generally been unspoken until this point, but I have no doubt they should be made plain now.
