Full Version: Will and Grace
Florestan
Will and Grace was a show starring Eric McCormack and Debra Messing, that was about a gay lawyer and an interior designer. Besides the main characters (already named), there was Karen and Jack, which were hilarious. In fact, the reason I watched the show, is related to the incredibly smart and fun jokes that were said.
I loved this show so much, that I was very sad when it came to an end.

Consequently, I would like to know if there's anyone else on GZ that used to watch it, in order to discuss our favourites moments, to talk about the bloopers, among other things.

"Oh My G-!" Haha. Will and Grace is the BEST show ever! I'm telling you! It's so hard to actually find someone these days who likes the show!

So start sharing! What were your favorite moments?! By the way, I've seen like... EVERY episode! Haha, I'm just a freak like that. tongue2.gif What about you?

Oh... I'm glad you read my PM. I sure am a Will and Grace fan. However, before we get to that, and although this is not the right place, since you are new around the boards, I'll give you a word of advice: read the Rules and Guidelines thoroughly. I'm telling you this because there are some important rules you should know about. For example, slang and abbreviations are not tolerated. Please, don't misunderstand me. Generation Z is a very friendly community (which is due to its strict rules) and if you stick around you'll see you'll have a lot of fun. So, two suggestions: review your post (use more appropriate grammar) and start an introduction post about yourself in the Introduction Forum. That way, other members will be able to welcome you to the boards. Besides, if you have any doubts about anything, fell more than free to PM me, another advanced member, a Veteran or a member of the staff. Everyone will be more than glad to help you.

With no further ado, I'll be presenting you some of my favourite moments. Do you remember that time when Jack replaced Zandra as an acting teacher? Do you remember Joanne's makeover and the shirtless boys in his class? That was hilarious! Also, that episode in which Will meets Vince and Karen learns how to drive... Do you remember the way she was trying to make the car stop? "Will didn't teach me how to stop... Car stop! Car stop! I guess something will stop me...". That was hilarious, as well. Oh man, I had such a great times watching those episodes. I'm still hoping for a re-run.

I love Will And Grace. I own all seasons on dvd. I think it was super original and super funny. The characters were so deeply played by the actors. They all really seemed to love what they were doing. Karen and Jack were the glue that brought everything together, they made the show complete. More people should be talking about this. This show will be rewatched for years.

I agree with you, BronBick, when you say that this show will be rewatched for years! This was definitely one of the best shows I have ever watched. When I created this topic I had stopped watching the show for a short time. However, now, looking back, and comparing it with another shows I have seen in the meanwhile, there are no doubts: Will and Grace is one of the best shows ever. Like you said, BronBick, I also believe that that is the due to the fact that the actors were awesome and it really seemed that they had lots of fun doing their job. In fact, one can comprove that when watching one of the live episodes (Episodes 1 and 11 of Season 8). Talking about the actors, and without trying to go off-topic: Did you know that Megan Mullaly is part of Fame's cast?

Anyway, I do envy you. In Portugal, the Will and Grace episodes were never for sale. If they were, I would buy them for sure.

On a side note, I'll share an experience I had with you. Last year, at my school, a "Talent Contest" was held. Me and two friends of mine participated as contestants. There were some trials, being one of them the "free trial". In that trial, we decided we would be playing a scene from the show. Actually, we used one of the scenes I talked about in my second post on this topic: the scene in which Zandra is replaced by Jack and, therefore, the one in which Jack is the responsible for the Acting Classes. Do you remember that scene? Anyway, it was extremely amusing working on that scene with my friends. I played Jack (although I'm not gay, which made the character even more challenging). One of my friends played Zandra and the other one played Joanne. It was a great idea because the audience was actually Zandra's class and. consequently, we achieved a great level of interaction with the audience. In fact, just because you could be curious, I'll tell you that my team won that contest. wink.gif

Thats so awesome. I watch the live episode that had Alec Balwin in it. It was just too funny. Jack missing an eyebrow was just over the top. Its Great to see the live ones because they mess up... A LOT. I dont even think I could say half of the lines they did without messing up. When Karen was, Adjusting Graces, cleavage was just to die for. The gag reel was just too much.

On season 7, I think, is just funny of how they try so hard to hide the fact that Debra Messing was prego. Almost every scene she was in, she had over sized clothes on, a book in front of her, covered by a purse, and so on.

You dont see too many straight people that watch this show, I think more do now since it has been on for a while and knowing it WAS a good show, straight, gay, whatever. EVERYONE finds common ground in that show.

Will & Grace is definitely in my top ten favourite shows of all time. So much that last year, I actually went ahead and bought every season when eight came out. Sure, my pockets were empty for a long time afterwards, but it was totally worth it. It's like Bronsen said, everyone could find middle ground in this show. Personally, the whole gay aspect has never bothered me a bit. It may be because I'm a little more "flamboyant" than some, but after the first few episodes, you get used to it.

What was my favourite part of the show? Certainly not Will Truman, or Grace Adler. I'm more of a fan of Jack and Karen. I don't care what people say, those two were freakin' hilarious, and I often found myself looking forward to their episodes, or sub-plots more than the titular characters'. Hell, the first time the two met, they rubbed tummies together. I still laugh my ass off at that. Then, Sean Hayes and Megan Mullally just had an awesome chemistry that made their scenes seem incredibly natural. Which is all I ask for. Don't get me wrong, Eric McCormack and Debra Messing kick ass too, but they don't shine in the same way.

Also, the live episodes were win. You know a television series has major balls when they actually perform live. That's going to be really difficult and despite nearly cracking up several times during the two episodes, the performances were more solid than shows like The Big Bang Theory. I smell talent!

My favourite moments? Christ almighty this is difficult. Personally, I bust a rib whenever I watch the episode where Will and Grace are going to a Barry Manilow concert. Especially near the end when Grace changes the lyrics of Mandy to, "...OH, MOMMY!" instead of the natural "...oh, Mandy...". As a Barry Manilow fan, this is lol-a-riffic. I also found the time where Jack (in the first or second season) tries acting heterosexual after Will calls him a fag. It was over the top, and can still manage to turn my frown upside down. Those are just two of the many.

Also, that show had some of the best cameo's, ever. Rosanna Arquette, Madonna, Michael Douglas, Chloe Sevigny, Alec Baldwin, Rip Torn, Matt Damon and (the ever foxy) Demi Moore? That's only the few I can remember. There was a LOT more. It's awesome when shows go out of their way to bring in such recognizable faces.

Such an awesome show. As a matter of fact, I feel it's time to watch a few episodes. This topic has the offical Mayhem stamp of approval.
