Full Version: Do You Like Music?
CKFighter123
Music is a very great form of art which I like. I love music and music brings one a fantastic feeling, whether it is happy or sad. Some music brings you a special feeling, like Vivaldi's. Vivaldi is a musician who is very famous for his Concerto. He's music gives you the feeling which is beyond description. Listening to his music makes you feel light and somehow mysterious or fun. I don't like rock music as I don't consider it as a type of music as it does not brings you any feelings. Art is very expressive and thus, I don't like rock music as I don't consider it as music. Expressive music makes the person who listens feel the feelings of the musician at that time. It is only considered a good music if it is filled with feelings like what I said.

I play the violin, my favourite instrument and piano. Violin is much easier than piano as it does not have chords. Violin also brings you a special feeling. I like smooth, more neutral and down pieces for piano. Music is a good way to express your feelings and I wish everybody enjoys music.

I of course love to listen to music, but I don't play any musical instruments. With the exception of playing a few instruments for music class a couple of years bach, haha. It didn't end up too good laugh.gif . So I ended up picking: I love music but don't play any musical instruments.

Anyway, I generally like all styles of music except for classical, jazz and some forms of rap. Although, even then I have heard some good songs from these music genre's. My favourite would end up being rock. If you check my Ipod or my phone, you will really only find songs by rock bands haha. But thats just me.

I LOVE music! What would life be without music! I play the keyboard and an acoustic guitar... well a little.
I'm more into alternative/rock kinda music. Pop, Country, Hip Hop, and R&B alright too, but I can NOT stand Rap! Dont ask why hahaha

It's good to see such a diversity of musical preferences. I love music! In fact, I've been playing piano for twelve years ans that makes of me a very happy person. In my opinion, the ultimate purpose of music is to give us pleasure, either if we're playing or if we're just listening.

About the quality of music and the different genres: I believe we must find a balance between quality and beauty. For example, most pop musics can be pleasent to the ear, but the truth is that they are not that good. On the other hand, composers like Schoenberg or Alban Berg wrote very complex music, but when you hear it, it sounds like nothing.

Personally, the genres that I like the most are classical (with the exception of some modernist composers) and musicals (like The Phantom of the Opera).

Music is definitely one thing I could never live without. If I'm not doing something else more important. One way or another I'm hearing music. Overall I stand out from most people who carry music with them. I don't have an iPod, or an MP3 Player. I used to have a PSP but it broke. So now I carry a walkman or a CD Player mattering on my mood. I perfer them anyway.

My favorite genres are Hair Metal, and Classic Rock. I can listen to some Old School Rap, and Country. Very rarely I'll listen to dramatic music like the Mortal Kombat beat, and stuff like that.

I used to play drums, and be rather good at it. But I haven't even bothered playing in a matter of three years. I don't think I could anytime soon. I forgot everything I learned, and knew. I do want to get good at the harmonica though.

Hell, I could live without laughing but never without music ... well, not that grave laugh.gif But I still love music more than anything else. Never learned to play an instrument. I can play a few of those songs for children on piano and practised playing the drums a few times when I had the chance to get into the music class alone. But I don't go out of the house without my MP3 player and whenever there's Karaoke where I'm at the moment I'll be there. I also sing a lot. Don't know if my voice is that good. My friend says I have a beautiful voice (She's on stage from time to time giving concerts, either she's singing like an opera singer or she's playing violin. I was fond of listening to her when she was singing since we were little kids)

I do love music. And if I bet if I had the drive to learn my guitar or a piano, I could probably be very good at it. Unfortunately I lose motivation for things a lot.

Listening to music is a favorite past time of mine however. It seems like I am always listening to my MP3 player, the radio/stereo or WMP on my laptop. I've always got that open while I'm roaming the Facebooks and Myspaces and Generation Z's of the world. When I'm working out I always am listening to music, otherwise I am extremely bored and lazy. When I was in college and had lab assignments I usually listened to my Mp3. And then there are random times where I just listen and do nothing else.

Ah, those are good times.

Also, I've had this habit for as long as I can remember. Everytime I buy a new CD, I take it home and listen to it and read the liner notes. Either on my stereo and lying on my bed, or in the old days, on my portable CD player.

As for what type of music I listen to, it is somewhat sporadic. I like a lot of christian rock and contemporary, but I also listen to alt rock, 90's rock, a little screamo, a few christian rappers, acoustic, a little country (a few years back I turned country so I still have some holdovers from that era), some classic rock, soft rock.
