I'm just after doing my first test at university. It was on java and I have to say, personally I felt it didn't go too bad. It's been a busy week like this for me, I also had a practical test which again went quite well. University life hasn't been too bad so far! Long may it continue too!

Ty that's good news about your wrist! How is it now anyway? Are you still going to need an operation on it? I really hope not! Did Duke come round too?

Bucky trust me you really don't want to work again. I'd say once your back a week or so you'll be wondering why you went back!

Ty that's awesome news about your wrist man, it's great to hear you getting back to normal. That really sucks about your pup though, I know what it's like to loose a pet, and it's not easy, so I really really hope Duke turns out to be fine. By the way, Duke, epic name choice my friend.

KDLegend: Hope your test went over well!

I had the surgery back in August, they just weren't too sure if it was going to work or not. They originally told me I had a 70% chance of having a full recovery, then the MRI came back showing that the bone wasn't responding to some things and was probably dead which dropped me down to 45-50% chance of having a full recovery, the surgery went well and put me back up to 70% chance of having a full recovery. So far so good, which is why I don't have to wear the brace anymore.

The wrist is doing good, only sore every now and then but that is to be expected. Still no lifting or too much physical activity. I can start some minor strength training at physical therapy this week though. Also, I have improved motion on the wrist by 28 degrees one way and 25 degrees the other, so I've started on the long road to recovery.

Thanks for the best wishes for Duke. We went to see him today, and he wasn't moving around at all. He would barely even open up his eyes, but the vet said he hoped that was because of the drugs he gave him. He said he was going to stop the medication tonight to see if Duke wakes up and is any better or not. If he's not any better, then we will have to choose how long we want him to suffer before putting him down. Another possibility is after taking him off of the medication, he could have another stroke and pass overnight.

Hope he's better tomorrow, doesn't look to probable after seeing him tonight.

EDIT: Well, I have good news today. The vet called at 10 this morning and told us we could come pick up Duke. Turns out he looked so bad yesterday because that's how out of it he was because of the drugs they had him on. Not too sure if Duke remembers us completely, but he started walking a little bit again today and does appear to remember some things around the house. The only bad thing is he acts like he wants to eat, but won't eat anything. Hopefully he starts making a full recovery. God is great!

I've had a pretty damn good weekend. I finally got that PayPal dispute all done, and over with. Sadly, I lost. But I had money in my account to cover it. Right now it's 9:05 Sunday morning in Indiana. I have to run the Yu-Gi-Oh tournament a few blocks over today. So I am looking forward to that. Those are always fun.

Yesterday, I went turkey shooting with my dad. I got second place in the win half of the money deal. Which kinda sucks in my part. But it was a blast to do so. My dad won a ham, and some other members of my step moms family won some turkeys. I had a 20 gauge during the beginning. Which wasn't the best to shoot yesterday. Because the wind was blowing hard enough to scatter the pellets to far from one another on the target. Then I switched to a 12 gauge. Which was ten times better to do so. That's the gun I got second place in. Either way though I had a good time.

Next weekend I won't be online. I'm going to be in Columbus, Ohio judging a Yu-Gi-Oh event.

That's great news about Duke Ty, at least ye kno he's well when he's looking for food! Your wrist does sound quite painful. At least with some form of movement there it always give you the determination and knowing that it will become better again over time!

I'm just out of work a while ago and travelled back up to university. Hoping that this will be a nice relaxing week. No tests and with a few classes cancelled, I'm thinking a prank or two might be needed for this week! I've got a week to think of something ingenious at least biggrin.gif

Ty, that is fantastic news about Duke, I'm very glad to hear that he's all better, although it does kind of suck that he doesn't remember you as much, but I'm sure he'll be okay in the end. Go Duke!!! tongue2.gif

Sorry for my absence in this few days. I am busy training like mad for my upcoming Yoyo competition. Yup it is in 22nd November. Come see me if you want, but I'm in Singapore. I have just registered a few days ago. Come on, wish me good luck. I will post you guys the result. Or, do you all want to see me play? I am joining the FAST Challenge, which means you do 10 really basic tricks in a relly short time. The faster, the better. Well, since I am not a 'holy' player, I just go for fun, not really hoping to get a prize.

Well, for those who don't know, I have a bad harddrive in my laptop and it decided to do it's regular 3-4 month computer crash. It kind of sucks because I was in the middle of writing my new chapter for my story. Also, my dad just got back from his week long trip back east, and the pics he took were lost. I have an external harddrive that I bought last year, but I had not transfered the stuff over to it yet.

I so can't wait till my school check shows up, because my wife is wanting me to buy a new laptop. I think I am going to pick up a new desktop instead though. I haven't had a desktop in about 3 years. I've only had this laptop that harddrive went bad in it last summer. Besides I prefer desktops anyway. We were going to buy a new computer earlier this year, but I wanted to wait for Windows 7 to come out first.

My day has been amusing. So, despite not falling asleep till five-thirty in the morning or so, I decide I'm going to go to work. So, after less than three hours of sleep, I wake up, do my thing, go to work. Try opening the door to find it very much locked. Taped to the window is a big ass note that reads: "Some work-places observe Veteran's day today. This is one of them. We're closed. Now go away! =)" As if that wasn't enough, George went ahead and put the following in parenthesis: "Sorry Bucky. Hit me up and we'll totally chill. George." Which basically means we're going to smoke a bowl. So I go home, pass out until noon and woke up to find two texts from George, asking if I'm down with smoking with him.

Seriously? As most of you know, George is both my boss and Lake's hippie father. Dude's a friggin' badass. Anyhow, I thought I'd spread the laughter. So yeah, my day will consist of typing and later, smoking! Good day if you ask me.

Yesterday I talked with my instructor about changing my major. I thought he was going to blow his top, instead he got all emotional on me. Anyway, I'm changing from Radio/TV Broadcasting to PC Support and Networking at the end of this semester.

Funny thing is two other students dropped out of broadcasting completely the day before. Bet the instructor thinks he did something that ticked us all off lately.

Anyway, he wasn't too happy about me leaving. After coming out of his office one of the sophomores stopped me and said, "You're leaving us aren't you?" They knew it was coming. The sophomores cornered me and wanted to know why I'm changing and what not.

Then after lunch one of the sophomores wanted me to sit in with him during his shift for a bit because he wanted to talk to me in private about me leaving. They all don't seem to want me to go, but I know broadcasting isn't what I want to do anymore. They want me to wait until after Christmas break to make my final decision, so be it.

I registered for all my new classes today, two of which I can't get in. I'm going to talk to my new advisor about that tomorrow.

tl;dr: After December 16 you won't have to listen to Ty b***h about broadcasting anymore.

I'm such an idiot. You know those tv shows where someone starts talking about someone and then they happen to be right behind them? Well it happened to me twice this week. I was talking in the washroom about how my teacher was ridiculous to figure we can put several parts together of our project in under a week. Sure enough, he was about five meters away.

Today, my partner and I are waiting for him to show up so we can show him our progress on the project. As we wait I tell my partner how I started talking in the washroom only to be told he's five meters away since I didn't see him enter. I finsih saying this and turn around to see him practically standing right behind me. And this guy always has a smile on his face whether he's in a good mood or not. It's quite annoying actually.

So we go and show him a demo but for some reason he wasn't impressed. Because c++ has horrible portability, that is code that works on ne c++ compiler won't necessarily work on another, my partner and I had trouble coordinating and merging our code. It was a miracle I combined them ten minutes before presentation (which was very poorly added, but better than showing him two separate executables). Because the objects weren't integrated with our graphical map, he didn't seem to care about the all the methods I made that once integrated, would handle 95% of the required functionality requirements. He also did';t care about the great work my partner did for our grpahical map that impressed me greatly because of the lack of true integration. Why bother having a mid progress evaluation if he essentially wanted a 90% working project instead of a rough partially project? Some of the stuff we did was very impressive but he was hung up on something that of course would be fixed in time for the final presentation in two+ weeks but apprently had to be done now despite not being arequirment according to the grading sheet he was supposed to use. And when I say supposed to, I mean he clearly used a much stricter grading guideline sheet.

I could care less though. What's done is done. He's a jerk and probably gave an average evaluation mark, so be it. He asks for four credits of work in a three credit class, so be it.

Oh! The competition is in a days from here, and I am practising everyday, real hard. My fingers got burned and after a long practising time, my fingers are real tired. It's this Sunday, that is the competition! But, something stupid that I don't understand, is that the yoyo that we must use in the competition, is a really lousy one, but I don't understand why people says it works best for the FAST Challenge. I tried, but I havec no choice, but to practise hard. C'mon, wish me good luck!

So I haven't really posted on here since my leave for Columbus last week. I had a pretty good time at Shonen Jump (met some pretty cool people), and had fun at the hotel.

Anyway since Tuesday I've been sick. I'm just slowly getting over it now. So this flu has been kicking my ass all week. I plan on posting on here a lot more this weekend, and through out the week. Since, I just lost my job. Back to square one!

Grrrrrr... My division for my Yoyo competition is postponed! It's sad, but it is kind of a relieve, because I will have more time to practise. I went to watch the whole tournament, yes of course not my division that was postponed. The competition was awesome. Something really hilarious is that, all my friends(okay they are in another division) were quite something in front of me, but when they went up the stage, they had stage fright and you can guess what happenned. The pro division is really cool. A nice comnpetition, but I will have to wait for my division next month.
