Just thought most of you would like to know how to set your clocks back (or forward) an hour on the forums, so the forum time will be the same time as what it is where you are instead of being an hour ahead (or behind) of you.

How to set your clocks back.
All you need to do is go to My Controls -> Go under "Options" and click on Board Settings -> And under your time zone where it says "Is daylight savings time in effect?" uncheck the box and it should give you the right time.

How to set your clocks forward.
All you need to do is go to My Controls -> Go under "Options" and click on Board Settings -> And under your time zone where it says "Is daylight savings time in effect?" check the box and it should give you the right time.

If your time is still off then you have the wrong time zone set for where you are. If you have any questions just feel free to post them here. Just thought I would let you members know how to get the correct time on your profile.

We finally changed it so instead of the forums saying "Last Post was on November 9 at 12:55" if you post day the forums will say "Last Post Today, Yesterday, ect."

You talk of problems from being in the wrong TIME ZONE. Personally I live in the twilight zone . . . so I think I'm an hour behind all the time. rolleyes.gif Anyway, it's good to be here, and I'll try and wake up an hour earlier tomorrow. blink.gif

I saw my forum time was an hour off compared to real time, so I figured this topic needed to be bumped since Daylight Savings time came back into effect last Sunday at 2 a.m. That way if you forgot how to set the clocks ahead on the forum, and have been wondering why your forum time is off an hour from real time this topic should help clear it all up.

Basically just do the opposite of what Tyrailius stated in the first post and you should be set to go. Happy campings!

Just thought I'd confirm that I add how to set your clocks forward on my origional post so it should now be easier to set your clocks on the forum.

I will continue to leave this topic open incase there are any questions, but I have pinned the topic for now.

Time for some major bumpage.

Well, this is a little late but I figured I better bump this topic so the Members can all set their GZ clocks to the right time. All you have to do is go to My Controls -> Go under "Options" and click on Board Settings -> And under your time zone where it says "Is daylight savings time in effect?" uncheck the box and it should give you the right time.

Hope this helps if anyone was having issues with the time.

I don't like bumping this topic, but since it's been back on page three I better do it.

It's stated in my original post how to reset your clocks on GZ for those of you affected by Daylight Savings Time.

What is it with ipbfree and my ipod that the daylight savings feature doesn't really workboth ways. You would think it would automatically go forward and back after checking the box off the first time sinead of having to check the box off or on evry time.

My ipod also pulls this stunt of setting time ahead one hour instead of an hour back and vice versa.

Jeff, you might be in the wrong time-zone. It took me a long time to figure out what I had done wrong, but the same thing happened for me on Generation Z (the GZ clock was an hour ahead; I thought it was IPBfree, turns out it was my mental retardation). I chose Central time instead of Eastern time upon joining, which put me off by an hour. I don't know where in Canada you're at, but you should check what you time-zone you have selected. Especially on an iPod. Those damn things are so sensitive, I can't tell you how many times I've scrolled just a bit too far, and selected something completely different. Hope I helped.

If not, it's always fun to make fun of me for being a dumbass. laugh.gif

I must have verified I was in the correct timezone several times for both here and my ipod but it didn't stop the time from still being wrong. And it the settings here, it says either click or declick to get the correct time. The time was correct a few weeks ago when daylight savings was still in effect. Why not click and forget it. All the operating systems i've used work that way. Even the clock radio upstairs auto detects and auto adjusts to the correct time when needed eve when it gets plugged in and that clock costs under $20. There's no actual manual time set on that thing.

I'm in eastern timezone for north america btw.

And this is a message to all: Don't call me Jeff. Use full name please. And if you want to to use your whole name bucky mayhem, I'll be happy to and avoid being a hypocrite. Wehn I chose my name, I never thought someone would shorten it to jeff. Not a big fan of jeff.

Huh. Well I have no idea, then. Looks like a problem on your end of things.

Nah, I'm fine with just Bucky. Sorry about the "Jeff" thing, though.
